BorderlineLife: Just wondering, do you still have eye issues, blood sugar or other (permanent?) problems because of the Seroquel? I'm asking because it is likely that I will be on a low-medium dose for years to come, which of course kinda worries me.
That's a lot of meds, implying that you may be able to come of some you got on at first. It bugs me how anti-psychotics are easily prescribed but for me too it is one of the very few long-term remedies for insomnia. In my non professional opinion, I think once someone has been labeled with this many mental illnesses they should get the chance to at least try a mood stabilizer in the hopes of losing 2 or more other meds. Just throwing it out there: Lamictal works very well for bipolar but it might work for you to slow down thoughts without being hard on your body/brain…aside from a rare but very serious allergic reaction. Take care lady. 🙂 PS: As you are already on the anti convulsant Lyrica, a second anti convulsant such as Lamictal may not be considered for you…but it just strikes me how conventional mood stabilizers tend to be safer long-term, compared to anti-psychotics.
you are so pretty
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesae learn howto to turn the camera the right way, nobody likes that big black borders around a video..You just lost me at 0:02
I suffer from Cymbalta, for 3 years and gabapentin for nine years and Trazofone for sleep. I am 61 and suffer from depression, anxiety and alcoholism. I stopped everything cold turkey. I never want to take these kinds of meds again. I love you, pray for me, Cory!
If you watch what you eat you won't gain weight in Seroquel. I am on Seroquel and Risperdal and have lost 31 lbs
Isn't Emotionally Unstable Disorder another name for BPD?
Hi Cory….Glad your meds are working for you……such a trial and error thing until the right combo is figured out. Daughter has been on so many different things….son too. You are looking great dear. Take care oxoxox hugs.
really glad to see you back 😉
I'm a quiet BL and Seroquel is a mood stabiliser. I take 200mg at night and I've gained shit loads of weight though. I take Lyrica 75mg morning and night for nerve pain it works great for fibromyalgia. I take Duloxatine for depression. I take temazepam for anxiety. I take pain meds for chronic pain.
I'm on Lyrica for Anxiety. Does it make us gain weight?
jeez they're making me jump through hoops a lot for mood stabilisers here in the UK but I'm not sure is want them to give me this much :S
